Here is an interesting story about someone who used a firearm to protect themselves. Here in Idaho Falls we don't have much crime, maybe its because we're all good people or maybe it's because we believe in gun ownership. Either way we need to keep on doing what we're doing to remain safe.
"A former Marine who uses a wheelchair used a firearm to protect himself from three attackers who broke into his home early one morning. According to reports, three home invaders burst into the man's home in West Pike Run Township, PA., around 2 a.m. Alerted to danger by his dog, the homeowner grabbed a .45-caliber pistol and fired, causing the three attackers to flee."
Don't be caught off guard. Protect yourself. Armed Advantage will be up and running soon specializing in Concealed Carry Permit Classes here in Idaho Falls.

Storing Your Firearms

Many ask the question of how and where their firearm should be stored. The answer to that question is different for everyone but we’ll try to help guide you in your decision. The most important thing to remember is that your firearm is not accessible to any and al l unauthorized persons. First, you need to ask “what is the intended use for the firearm?” If its for target practice or hunting then the firearm should be locked in some fashion and kept unloaded. So what about the firearm that is there for your personal protection in you home? The answer in this situation may or may not be different from that of the first question. This could mean in a safe, it could mean in a drawer, it all depends on your situation. If you choose to store you firearm unlocked in a drawer for example, it is still recommended that you store the gun in a holster. This will protect the firearm as well as avoid any accidental discharges. Be especially mindful if you have children in your home. You as the gun owner are responsible for your firearm at all times no matter what. Take that responsibility seriously and do some research to figure out what the best storage situation for you might be. Stay Safe
